The Theory of Constraints offers an innovative approach to solving the complex challenges of production management. Inspired by the famous book "The Goal" by Eliyahu Goldratt, this theory challenges traditional paradigms of process optimization. 

At the heart of the Theory of Constraints is the notion of "bottlenecks", those critical points in production processes where resources are overloaded.

 

Selim explains how to effectively identify and manage these constraints to optimize the overall system performances. Through the "Drum Buffer Rope" model, he details the key steps to manage flows efficiently, emphasizing the synchronization of operations to maximize the use of resources while minimizing waiting times and delays. Additionally, he addresses the Theory of Constraints process of continuous improvement, called the 5 Focusing Steps. He explains each step of this process: identify, exploit, subordinate, elevate and start the process again to continue improving the performance achieved.
