In our opinion it is the best possible introduction to TLS - Theory of Constraints + Lean + Six sigma
The book has a dual format. The fisrt two thirds are a novel that describes how TLS can rapidly improve the performance of a company. The last third (110 pages) is comprised of technical annexes that present the ideas, reasoning and techniques that were used : TLS; Throughput Accounting, the Thinking Process, the Replenishment Model, Drum – Buffer – Rope, Critical Chain Project Management, etc.
