Theory of..., Thinking Processes and Policy Constraints par Philip Marris et Bill Dettmer

Bill Dettmer and Philip Marris discuss different aspects of the Theory of Constraints

Bill Dettmer and Philip Marris discuss the name “Theory of Constraints” and how it generates rejection in the business world. Bill and Philip prefer the term "Management by Constraints". Philip points out that the problem is overestimated in the TOC community however, since approaches such as "Lean" and "Six Sigma" also have labeling issues. The rest of the conversation revolves around the Logical Thinking Processes and their belonging to the Theory of Constraints. According to Bill Dettmer, Eliyahu Goldratt is at the origin of both the Theory of Constraints and the Logical Thinking Processes, but the two can be seen as separate entities. The video ends with a discussion of internal constraints and external constraints.
