The teams wanted to improve the production flow of their factory and called on Marris Consulting to initiate this process. The method used to manage flows, DBR (Drum Buffer Rope), made it possible to balance and smooth production in relation to market demand, avoiding the end-of-month phenomenon.
Customers quickly observed an improvement in delivery time and frequency. The notions of bottlenecks and capacity constraints are shared by all of the company's staff: a culture of continuous improvement has strongly developed. On this site, we no longer think only in terms of figures but also in terms of flows: we regularly hear about "bottleneck", "debottlenecking", "production flow", "reduction of outstandings".
Thanks to the Theory of Constraints, overall productivity at the factory level has improved. In addition to the very good operational and financial results, one of the big benefits is that all departments work together.
