Philip Marris explains how you can get your organization to propose very short task durations and how these proposed “focused durations” will be volunteered by the project actors themselves, thereby ensuring good buy-in to the Critical Chain approach.
He also explain why it is not necessary for these new task duration estimates to be correct, only that they must be shorter than they used to be, and how the task durations can then be further shortened year after year.
