Throughput Economics book review with co-author Henry Camp

Interview: Henry Camp

Book: Throughput Economics, Making good management decisions by Eli Schragenheim, Henry Camp and Rocco Surace. Routledge / Productivity Press 2019.

An interview of Henry Camp, one of the 3 authors, by Philip Marris. Henry explains: the motivations for the book, the background of the 3 authors, the sorts of decisions that this book addresses and the basic logic proposed.

Their proposed approach is based on the Theory Of Constraints developed by Eliyahu Goldratt. It suggests among other things that decisions need to be made recognizing the inherent uncertainty of the environment, it is better to be approximately right rather then precisely wrong.

It also talks about the links with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

This video was made in July 2019 in Chicago during the annual congress of the TOCICO (Theory Of Constraints International Certification Organization).
