Theory of Constraints, Critical Chain Project Management, Lean : industry consulting & training - Marris Consulting
One of the most important challenges for many companies today is how to go faster : how to shorten production cycles or deliver projects earlier.
However, modifying planning systems in production environments to achieve this goal is often complex, time-consuming, and risky. And reducing the expected durations of projects is difficult given that organisations have difficulty in honouring their "long" durations.
And yet, simple changes can easily accelerate you production and your projects; the "2 for 1" rule does this. Stop starting and start finishing.
Date: Tuesday 21st of October 2025
Time: from 5:30pm to 6:30pm (CET / Paris)
11:30am to 12:30pm (EDT / New York)
Free webinar in English
Registration mandatory

The "2 for 1" rule is very simple: a new unit (such as a production order, an order, or a project) can only be launched into the system if two units have been previously released (finished).
Stop starting and start finishing!
In other words, the emphasis is on completing activities already underway before starting new work. This approach helps limit the volume of work in progress and, consequently, naturally reduce lead times.
The webinar reviews the foundations of this rule and how to implement it in practice, as well as its impact on organizational performance, whether in industrial contexts or project portfolio management.
