Theory of Constraints, Critical Chain Project Management, Lean : industry consulting & training - Marris Consulting
Every day, factories consume resources—such as time and capacity—to produce and deliver orders and satisfy their customers.
...Yet, resources are also consumed daily by the system itself to compensate for internal inefficiencies, such as poor quality, overproduction, or issues with manufacturability.
These issues consume—among other things—operator hours, machine hours, floor space, cash, management attention, and available capacity.
Because this often does not appear clearly in management reports, the concepts of "hidden costs" or the "hidden factory" have emerged:
a portion of capacity is wasted by failing to get things right the first time and by not producing exactly what the customer ordered.
Some studies estimate that this wasted capacity can amount to as much as 40% of a factory's total capacity.
In an environment driven by the race for competitiveness, identifying and eliminating these costs is therefore essential.

Marris Consulting aims to shed light on this "parallel factory" by presenting four phenomena that significantly impact a plant's industrial and financial performance:
During this webinar, Philip Marris explains these phenomena using numerous examples from various sectors, while also showing how to identify them and offering strategies to eliminate them.
Philip started his Theory Of Constraints journey in 1986 when he joined Creative Output and worked with Eliyahu Goldratt, the founder of TOC and author of the worldwide bestseller “The Goal”. In 1994 he wrote a bestselling TOC textbook in French.
He is also a recognized Lean expert and combines Lean (Manufacturing/Engineering/Management) with TOC. He founded Marris Consulting based in Paris France in 2005.
Half their business is outside of France in Europe and the rest of the world. He is bilingual and bi-cultural French/English. He is very active in the TOC community. He has implemented TOC over 400 times in over 30 countries. His clients include: Abbvie, Air France, Altho Brets, Andritz-Laroche, ArcelorMittal, Ariane Group, Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace, Autoliv, BAE Systems, Boston Scientific, Budenheim, Bulgari, Embraer, Circor, Getinge, GSK, IamGold, Ipsen, Louis Vuitton, McDonald's, Osram, Procter & Gamble, Rolex, Safran, Siemens, SKF, Société Générale, SNCF, TDK, Thales, Valeo and Veolia.
