Increasingly used, Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) is a project management approach that allows you to finish nearly all your projects on time, to reduce their durations by approximately 40%, to provide excellent visibility and anticipation capability, and to create a much better working environment with much less stress and firefighting.
Critical Chain Project Management is the Theory of Constraints' project management "solution". In this webinar, Philip Marris, who has more than 30 years of experience in the use of the Theory Of Constraints (TOC) in over 200 different companies, present the essential components of the "Critical Chain Way": how to plan projects, how to execute them, how to implement CCPM and how to further improve performance with a focused continuous improvement process. Many real life examples were included drawn from Marris Consulting's extensive Critical Chain experience in a great variety of environments and a great variety of types of projects: new product development, MRO, Capex projects, 10 day projects and 10 year projects...
He also explained the why he recommends using TOC's 5 focusing steps to project portfolios, a process often resulting in increases in productivity of more than 100% (2 to 3 times more projects completed per year).
He added his own points of view and recommendations: the possibility of combining Agile with CCPM, the relationship between CCPM and the PMI's (Project Management Institute) body of knowledge, the combination of CCPM with Lean Engineering...and how easy it is to get these extraordinary results.
The end of the webinar was devoted to a questions and answers session.

Our trainings on Theory of Constraints and
Critical Chain Project Management:
Philip started his Theory Of Constraints journey in 1986 when he joined Creative Output and worked with Eliyahu Goldratt, the founder of TOC and author of the worldwide bestseller “The Goal”. In 1994 he wrote a bestselling TOC textbook in French.
He is also a recognized Lean expert and usually combines Lean (Manufacturing/Engineering/Management) with TOC. He founded Marris Consulting based in Paris France in 2005.
Half their business is outside of France in Europe and the rest of the world. He is bilingual and bi-cultural French/English. He is very active in the TOC community. He has implemented TOC over 250 times in over 30 countries. His clients include: Air France, ArcelorMittal, Ariane Group, Embraer, GSK, Ipsen, Louis Vuitton, McDonald's, Procter & Gamble, Qiagen, Safran, Salzgitter-Mannesmann, Siemens, SKF, Thales and Zodiac Aerospace.
Marris Consulting is an industry consulting and training company specialized in the Theory of Constraints (ToC) and Critical Chain Project Management. We focus on improving the performance of manufacturing and process industries by using Constraints Management combined with Lean and Six Sigma. To boost project performance, we also use Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM), which we sometimes combine with Lean Engineering. Our 2-day performance audits, our performance consulting services and our project management, Lean, ToC & CCPM training by our industry consultants offer a wide range of solutions to help our clients around the world reach the highest possible levels of performance.
