The conference

The Logical Thinking Process principle can be applied to all types of subjects. It is even more relevant nowadays with the development of many tools based on artificial intelligence.

This webinar was an opportunity to review how AI can be used to strengthen analyses based on Logical Thinking Process and how knowledge of the process helps with effective use of AI.

About the Webinar: Using Artificial Intelligence in a Logical Thinking Process analysis

Until now, the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in business analysis has been limited to quantitative models, using explicit data. However, most of the information managers rely on in decision making is tacit information that never finds its way into databases.

Despite the value of structured logical analysis methods such as the Logical Thinking Process and the TOC Thinking Processes, their users are few and far between. One important reason for this is how time consuming it is to construct logically sound and bias free logic trees.

With the advent of large natural language models, artificial intelligence models such as Chat GPT can now be used to minimize the impact of bias, speed up and improve the clarity and rigour of logical analysis.

The fast proliferation of such models also means that the ability to effectively prompt them, or communicate with them, will very soon become a critical skill in many functions. Those who have achieved a a good understanding of the rules of logic and ability to use structured analysis frameworks may therefore be expected to have an important advantage in the workplace.

In his presentation, Logical Thinking Process expert Thorsteinn Siglaugsson provides insights into how large language models can be used in logical analysis, both to help with scrutiny, to suggest possible causes behind effects, to simplify and improve wording and to quickly structure descriptions of cases or situations.

The end of the webinar was devoted to a questions and answers session.
