Aerosud is an aeronautical Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based in South Africa which supplies Boeing, Airbus,…
The company discovered and adopted TOC in 2010. They initially applied it to the Supply Chain and manufacturing with great success: >98% OTIF (On Time In Full) and short lead times, despite suppliers’ long and sometimes unreliable lead times.
They, then, implemented Critical Chain Project Management to introduce new parts in their production system and broke the "world records" in performance finishing 98% of their projects on time. All projects in Aerosud with defined outcomes are now managed using CCPM principles.
They pursued their TOC journey by applying the Logical Thinking Process to build their Goal Tree and this led to launching a new audacious service offering.
Then, in March 2020, Covid-19 struck. Their response was to trigger and co-lead a South African initiative to rapidly develop the products that the country needed to face the pandemic. Today, they have redefined and repositioned themselves to continue to thrive in the new context.
The webinar was hosted by Johan Steyn, Managing Director of Aerosud, Andre Tustin, Suplly Chain synchronization and Continuous Improvement, and Jeff Esterhuizen, Operations System Manager.
