Master Class "Building Company Strategy and Tactics for breakthrough results"

On Friday 30th of March 2018, in Marris Consulting offices

Master Class details

Theory of Constraints (TOC) has its own approach towards developing strategy and tactics for an organization. The same as other approaches, TOC treats tactics as sets of actions within the framework of a strategy. However, the similarity ends here.

The major difference lies in the three areas:

(1)    the structural relationship between the Strategy and its Tactics:

  • the Strategy  is defined as THE WHAT TO ACHIEVE, while

(2)    the multi-level top-down cascade structure of Strategy-Tactic(s) pairs where every lower level of Strategy&Tactics is subordinated to achieve its higher level on the way to achieving the ultimate goal of the organization for which the strategy and tactics are developed

(3)    the explicit focus on identifying, verbalizing and recording

  • the necessity for the tactics, as well as

  • the clear justification that the tactics will bring about the intended result - the strategy.

In the master class we will:

  • look in detail in the outlined differences of the TOC approach to developing strategy and tactics for an organization;

  • present the TOC logical tool for constructing the top-down Strategy&Tactic structure – the S&T Tree;

  • demonstrate the process and the mechanics of using the S&T Tree.

We will present in the master class the outcome of six years of our development work with companies helping them achieve breakthrough results through clear structuring what they want to achieve and how to achieve it.
