Theory of Constraints, Critical Chain Project Management, Lean : industry consulting & training - Marris Consulting
On Tuesday 4th July 2017, from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Marris Consulting has invited you to its breakfast conference on the production increase of the Ariane 5 tank production using the Theory of Constraints. The conference has taken place at Marris Consulting headquarters in the Montparnasse Tower (Paris, France).
In the presence of EuroCryospace, who has presented how they applied the Theory of Constraints in their factory.
The aerospace industry is booming and Europe has not been left behind. The Ariane 5 rocketship, with 79 successful launch, is one of the most reliable launcher in the market. However, the concurrence is currently increasing and the growth of the market lead to two challenges the manufacturers have to overcome :
To increase the production speed : Eurocryospace has to go from a 6 to 7 tanks per year demand to a delivery of 8 tanks a year. This change means that the annual production has to increase by at least 30%.
Costs reduction : The production speed increase comes with a decrease in the production costs of 5 to 10%.
The production site did not manage to reach a sufficient production speed in 2016 due to tecnical and structural issues. Therefore Eurocryospace was late in its deliveries. In 2017, the start of a project to implement the Theory of Constraints in the factory has enabled to fill the gap and to reach the nominal production speed.
During this breakfast, for industry professionals, the approach taken, the methodology and the tools used at EuroCryospace have been presented.
This conference has lead to an exchange on a concrete example with astonishing results.
